Join a trip of a lifetime, sea kayaking around the sheltered lochs of the west coast of Scotland. During our 4 day trip we will be exploring sea lochs, studded with wooded islands, sandy beaches and if conditions allow will venture onto the open sea. We will be combining kayaking, exploration, bushcraft and wild camping! The expedition has a minimum age of 14, unless the young person has previous experience of sea kayaking.
We aim to explore the beautiful sheltered areas of Loch Moidart - an amazing scenic spot, steeped in history (it has its own ruined castle), and wildlife such as seals, otters, eagles, pinemartens and deer and stunning wild camping spots. The loch is also has a very high water quality and has large numbers of shell fish and fish - great for wild foraging. This location really combines a whole range of different habitats, from hills, forest, sea loch, open sea and rivers. Although it is a wild place, it is not too far from infrastructure from a safety view point. What better place for a bushcraft adventure?
On the trip we work with local, fully qualified sea kayak instructors/guides who know the area well. Leon, our chief instructor will provide the bushcraft training. He also knows the area well being based only a few miles away.
