If you are visiting or live in Lochaber in the West Highlands of Scotland, perhaps we can interest you in a tailored bushcraft session for your family or friends? This is fantastic way to immerse yourself in this wild landscape, learn about the fauna and flora, and have fun while acquiring new and exciting skills! We provide small private courses on the west coast of Scotland (Moidart) so just give us a call to discuss (01687470415).
The Scottish Highlands is the last wilderness of the UK, stunningly beautiful, yet potentially hostile if you are unprepared.
Our chief instructor, Leon, who runs the courses, is a qualified ecologist and professional bushcraft survival instructor. He is permanently based in Moidart.
During a session we can cover a wide range of topics, so just choose from these to design a unique course suitable for you and your family or friends. Typically three of the following activities would make up half a day, but please discuss what you want to do and we will do our best to help.
If you can't see the subject you are interested in - then just ask us and we may well be able to help.
Let us take you on a Scottish island survival adventure, build a campfire and cook your lunch on a stunning sandy beach looking out across the loch to the small isles. Discover the secrets of the ancient broadleaved woodlands nestling under the mountains of Moidart. It will be a unique experience you and your group won't forget!
Overnight camping with us is also an option, in a wild corner of our garden in Lochailort (where there is a compost loo, drinking water and tipi) for a small extra charge.
We provide private bushcraft experiences for families, friends and also one to one sessions for individuals. These sessions can be arranged around a time that suits both you and the instructor.
We charge for the session rather than per person which makes it economical for a family (includes up to 4 members - if you have a bigger group/family please enquire for rates).
Additional hire options
Canoe transports can also be arranged at a price depending on distance.
* These special rates only apply for courses held in Moidart (30 miles west of Fort William). They are designed for family and groups of friends of 4 or less (if you have a bigger group please enquire for rates), but not for business groups. We have a separate page if you are interested in team building events for businesses and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.
If you live locally you might be interested in our Forest School sessions that we run for schools or youth groups and periodic subsidised days we run for West Highland College.
