Coastal Foraging Weekend,

West Coast of Scotland

Forage on the West Coast of Scotland

Join our weekend course and learn how to source and prepare wild food in the beautiful environment of the Atlantic Oak woodlands and shores of Moidart, in a small group with expert guidance. Forage for a range of edible shellfish, seaweed, coastal and woodland plants, gaining practical know-how about where to find different species. Learn about safe and responsible foraging, and the associated legal issues. Light a fire and cook your wild lunch on the beach!

We also run a day course but will cover a greater variety of food and cooking methods during this weekend course.

Coastal wild food is not just for survival, it can also be a tasty, sustainable and nutritious addition to our diet. On previous courses we have enjoyed linguine with chanterelles and wrack, wild salad with wood sorrel, and a sweet dessert with seaweed!
